CutePets, Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8/17/2026 Applies to: CutePets for Windows, version 1.4.0 and later Publisher: Technocrux Contact: alisufyanbutt@hotmail.com
The short version
CutePets does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no telemetry. Everything your pets do stays on your computer.
What data CutePets stores
CutePets keeps a single save file on your own device:
%APPDATA%\cutepets\cutepets.json
That file contains only the game state you created yourself:
- the pets you adopted, names, species, colours, ages and inherited traits;
- their needs, coins and lifetime statistics;
- memorials of pets that have passed on, and the family tree linking them;
- your settings (graphics mode, aging speed, autostart, notification choices);
- app metadata such as onboarding/completion flags.
There is no name, email address, location, contact list, document, photograph, browsing history or device identifier in that file. CutePets never reads any other file on your computer.
What CutePets sends over the network
Nothing. CutePets makes no outbound network requests. It does not check for updates itself, does not load remote content, and does not contact any server operated by technocrux, because no such server exists. The app's window security policy blocks remote connections outright; the only resources it loads are files bundled inside the app itself.
Purchases
Version 1 of CutePets has no in-app purchases. The app is a one-time Store purchase only.
Notifications
CutePets can raise standard Windows desktop notifications (for example, when a pet is hungry). These are produced locally by Windows and are not transmitted anywhere. You can turn them off in Settings → Notifications inside the app, or in Windows Settings.
Children
CutePets is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no data at all, it collects nothing from children either. It contains no advertising, no external links inside gameplay, no chat, and no user-to-user communication.
Your control over your data
- See it: open
%APPDATA%\cutepets\cutepets.jsonin any text editor. - Back it up: copy that file.
- Erase it: use Settings → Start over inside the app, or delete the
%APPDATA%\cutepetsfolder. Uninstalling CutePets deliberately leaves the save behind so a reinstall does not lose your pets; delete the folder yourself if you want it gone.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on your behalf under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA or any comparable law.
Third-party components
CutePets bundles open-source software and CC0-licensed 3D models. None of them
phone home; they are compiled into the app and run locally. Attributions are
listed in ATTRIBUTION.md, shipped with the app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at https://github.com/Technocrux/cutepets/blob/main/PRIVACY-POLICY.md and the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will also be noted in the Store listing's release notes.
